A Pennsylvania man has been arrested after allegedly ramming his car into a metal gate at the FBI building in Pittsburgh.
Donald Henson of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, allegedly drove his vehicle into the metal entrance gate of the FBI building at approximately 2:40 a.m. FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Giordano has characterized this act as “an act of terror against the FBI.”
After the collision, Henson exited his vehicle, threw an American flag over the gate, and fled on foot. Reports indicate that the suspect’s car bore writing described as “vulgar” and possibly referencing suicide.

The FBI reports that Henson had visited their office recently to complain. Agent Giordano stated, “We ran down everything that he came down with. It didn’t have a federal nexus.” This raises important questions about the motivations behind this incident.
Law enforcement officials are treating this as a targeted attack. A bomb squad was deployed to examine the vehicle as a precautionary measure. The FBI has also disclosed that Henson is believed to have a history of mental health issues and prior military service.
The significance of this incident should not be overlooked. It comes at a time when federal law enforcement agencies have faced increased scrutiny and threats. As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered about the suspect’s intentions and the potential for similar incidents.
