“Let’s tell you a secret,” she whispered to her 8.5m followers. “Most people don’t know what capitalism is. Many people don’t know what socialism even is. Most people don’t consider themselves capitalists because they don’t have capitalist wealth. They aren’t billionaires.”
Ocasio Cortez was mocked quickly online for the video, with some comparing her “creepy whisper” to President Biden’s frequent whispering.
Ocasio Cortez said in the live video, “Labels don’t matter as much” as it does talking about policies.
