AOC’s Twitter Meltdown Over Rashida Tlaib’s Censure Backfires Spectacularly

The members of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Squad of Democratic Socialists melted down on the House floor Tuesday, as they prepared to vote to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s (D-Mich.) for a deliberately incendiary tweet she made on Friday that included the antisemitic phrase “from the River to the Sea”.

The vote was 234 to 188. 22 Democrats voted with Republicans to censure Tlaib for the Hamas-endorsed demand to eliminate Jews. This is what “from river to sea” actually means, despite what the media spinners would have you believe.

AOC in particular took to Twitter on Wednesday to do something Democrats are very good at – use the “person of color” card to absolve them when they behave badly.

The fact that Rep. Jamie Raskin is a Jewish Democrat in the video to which she responds, has him claiming this is about “punishing speeches” even though he knows what “from river to sea” means.

But I digress.

What actually “doesn’t reflect well” is AOC. She’s forgotten the recent censure given to Rep. Adam Schiff.

The House GOP stripped King of his committee assignments and rebuked him by name.

House Democrats, on AOC’s insistence, not only refused to name Rep. Ilhan Omar for her anti-Semitic tropes but also passed a watered-down “anti-hate resolution” instead of one that specifically addressed antisemitism, and allowed her to keep her position as a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The only thing that bothers me about the censure against Tlaib, is that it was so slow to come. This is because the “only Palestinian American” who has served in Congress for many years had a history of spouting antisemitic stereotypes.

Speaking of this, the fact that Tlaib was the “lone” person in Congress in no way should be used to shield her from scrutiny or from being held accountable by her colleagues for her reprehensible remarks that are effectively equivalent to support of genocide.

The “person of color” card is being used by woke Democrats to avoid accountability in public opinion. This is largely due to the AOCs in this country. It’s time to tear that card apart and burn it. To quote Tlaib in a speech Tuesday, “I won’t be silenced, and I won’t let anyone distort or misrepresent my words.”

Honeybun, it works both ways.
