The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation requested that Arizona remove double-stacked and razorwire-wreathed shipping containers it placed near Yuma’s U.S. Mexico border wall. The move was made to stop criminal aliens from entering the country.

The U.S. Department of the Interior has a federal agency called the BOR. It stated that both the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection had awarded contracts for the BOR land bordering the Morelos Dam.
Jacklynn Gould served as the regional director for BOR. She expressed concern about a potential conflict between Arizona and possible contract awardees. ”

Gould stated that “unauthorized placement of those containers constitutes violation to federal law and a crime against the United States.” ”

The Ducey administration placed the containers to stop illegal entry of 2,150639 people into the U.S. in this year’s fiscal year.

The BOR director stated that DEMA’s shipping container encroachment upon federal lands is a “trespass”, and prevents Reclamation fulfilling its mission.

DEMA director Allen Clark wrote October 18 to the BOR that Arizona had not seen any federal action… The containers would be left in place until further details are available about construction.

Clark wrote: “The multitude federal agencies that claim jurisdiction at our southern border but do nothing to stop illegal immigration and criminal activity that exploit that open border is quite frustrating. ”

Clark stated that states such as Arizona can’t rely on the federal government to provide security. ”

The BOR referenced a regulation that did not prohibit Arizona from taking certain actions in its letter. Additionally, the state claimed it had the right to defend and protect itself under Article IV Section 4.

C.J. Karamargin, Ducey’s communications chief, stated that the BOR request is “nonstarter.” ”

Karamargin said, “We’ve known for months that the Biden Administration was planning to do some thing but they haven’t done anything.” “They are writing letters and talking about it but they’re actually taking action. ”

Karamargin stated that the Ducey administration still believes Arizona has the right and obligation to take such actions.

Ducey tweeted “The Border Barrier Mission is working. Arizona protects its citizens. Hard to believe that the federal government won’t protect Arizona’s citizens.

Ducey signed the bill to fund the construction of a wall along the Arizona-Mexico border on June 30,

The state allocated $335 million to “construct and maintain a border fence”, and to purchase or implement border security technology. $209 million was also set aside for “border-related enforcement.” ”

Joe Biden was elected president and stopped building the southern border walls. After Arizona took control of strengthening American sovereignty, the Biden administration announced the completion of the Yuma sector wall.

The Republican-led government began to improve border security.

Ducey stated that Arizona was done with August 12. It is not possible to wait. “The Biden administration’s inaction regarding border security is a dereliction of duty.

Ducey said that he would use 60 8800-pound shipping containers, double-stacked, to protect the state’s borders. They were all reinforced with concertinawire at their tops. DEMA successfully filled the gaps in the border barrier by using almost 130 containers. All of them were double-stacked and linked together, then welded shut.

Only $6 million was spent by the state on containers.

Ducey said in September that he was responsible for protecting citizens and law enforcement from this unprecedented crisis. Our Border Patrol will have the resources and manpower to defend our communities against exploitative cartels.
