In the early days of the internet, I was dating a receptionist. However, she said that her true calling was being a desktop organizer. This does not mean she would come into your office and reorganize your files to find a better place for your stapler. She would sit down at your desktop and rearrange your icons to ensure optimal placement. She was serious about it. She believed she could actually make a living at it. She didn’t make a living doing it, but she did marry rich. Her curious habits were also a part of her personality. She clicked on everything and anything that appeared on her computer. It didn’t matter where it led, it didn’t matter what it was. She would click on it. Although she didn’t make a career of moving icons around screens on the computer, I am sure she keeps her local repair shop thriving.
It reminds me a lot of the Biden administration, where she clicks on things and presses random buttons while hoping that the system doesn’t explode. Biden’s latest move, which was made during one of the coldest winters of recent memory, is to electrify federal buildings and phase out natural gas. The following is part of a press release from Energy.gov, on Dec. 7.
Through the U.S. Department of Energy, Biden-Harris Administration announced today a proposed rule to electrify federal buildings that have been renovated or are being built. These facilities will have to reduce their energy consumption by 90%, starting in 2025. The standard will completely decarbonize on-site emissions from new federal buildings and major renovations by 2030. These measures will encourage the adoption of cleaner technologies in buildings, which is necessary to achieve President Biden’s goal for net-zero emissions by all federal buildings by 2045.
Clean electricity and removing pollution from buildings are two of the most cost-effective, future-oriented, and cost-effective solutions to climate change,” stated Jennifer M. Granholm, U.S. Secretary for Energy. DOE has established a timetable for reducing the government’s carbon footprint at federal facilities. This is the first step in achieving the ambitious climate goals of the nation.
According to the administration, buildings are a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Although fossil fuels will be phased out in favor of electricity, they will still be allowed to be used for “mission critical” purposes such as national security. This will not only save the environment but also the U.S. taxpayers approximately $8 million each year. So the White House claims.
Anyone who has lived in homes with electric heating panels on the baseboard or in homes with natural gas can confirm that this idea is absurd. According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Department of Energy estimates that taxpayers will pay $5 million annually for the move. The decision was praised by environmentalists. It is also worth noting that the administration may expand the plan to include the public. Biden wants to see a carbon-free grid in 2035 and a noncarbon economy in 2050.
Natural gas is affordable, easy to obtain, and environmentally friendly. The Golden State is a great place to look for additional convincing. According to the Beacon report, electricity prices in California, where there is a Great Carbon Repentance, rose by two times the national average. If you don’t live in one of the more humid areas of the country, you should think about this when you look at your thermostat, especially later in the week as a severe winter storm is expected to strike parts of the United States.
Property owners will have to pay additional costs to retrofit their homes and commercial spaces in order to heat them in the New Green Age of Aquarius. Your government may already have something in place if you live in a blue area. You might be able to see “2035” sooner than you think.
It is a typical example of the hubris displayed daily by wealthy and would-be-rich Democrats, despite the fact that Biden won’t be there to witness either of these accomplishments. Because they have you to pay the bill, they can still celebrate their love for Mother Earth. It could also be that Biden doesn’t know what he’s doing, and the White House wants to be seen pressing the right buttons.
Consider 2023 as a trial run. You can get used to setting your thermostat to the point where you can hang a side dish of beef right next to your TV. Put on one, two, or three more sweaters and let the tap run so that the pipes don’t freeze. You are now ready to play your part. All rich leftists depend on you.
