Joe Biden’s dream of having an expansive presidential library has been severely hampered. Recent reports suggest that Democrat donors withhold their contributions due to the anger surrounding his pardoning of Hunter Biden.
Axios reports that “top Democrats” are so angry over “Biden’s abrupt, clumsy” pardon of son that they tighten their wallets.
One source connected to the outlet said, “If they were really on top of things, they would have worked on this during the summer — just after he announced his resignation.” It’s too late now. They are probably lowering their budget and expectations.
If you’re anything like me, you probably wonder what the Biden Presidential Library would look like. As you enter the double doors, you might see a Corvette in the vestibule with the back seat filled with classified documents.
Is the library closed at noon? Can members just call a lid, go to the break room for naps, and enjoy some free pudding pops at this time?
You could create a room in which you can do a skinny dip in front of Secret Service Agents or randomly smell people. There are many possibilities.
Mark Halperin, a journalist at Fox News, revealed his thoughts about what the Biden Presidential Library might look like in a conversation with Jesse Watters.
“Is he going to use this library?” Watters asked.
Halperin responds, “I’m sure there will be some version.” It might look more like a mobile bookshop than a library.
Halperin noted that Biden has always struggled to raise money for anything. His presidential library is no exception. It will only worsen the situation if he does so while his allies are angry at him.
Halperin asserts that “donors are very annoyed.”
Axios reports that Hunter Biden’s pardon wasn’t just an issue for Democrat contributors; they were also concerned that Biden chose to run for reelection and forced them to cover up his mental decline.
They write: “Biden will limp out of the limelight, widely despised by the public and loathed now by many Democrats, who accuse him of two sins, one selfishness, for running again then pardoning Hunter despite repeatedly saying that he wouldn’t.”
Halperin, however, contends that donors and Democrat officials are equally responsible for the charade of President Biden having the cognitive ability to continue chugging. They ignored the obvious rigging in the Democrat nomination.
They don’t want any responsibility.
He countered, “I’ll say that the donors and Democrat officials are now so outraged over the conduct… The press knew all of this as well,” he said. They remained silent as Joe Biden’s agents crushed Bobby Kennedy and Dean Phillips, and rigged rules.
They remained silent while he decided to run again. They remained silent when Kamala Harris received the nomination without any shots being fired”, Halperin continued.
I understand why people are angry at Joe Biden. But I think many of them should turn back the clock and consider what they could have done differently.
In July, President Biden talked about the location of his library. He said that First Lady Jill Biden encouraged him to begin thinking about it.
“She asked, ‘Joe have you decided what library to build?’ Biden recalled. “I said ‘I don’t know where I have — I mean — — and I do not think that I should, while I am president, be thinking about the library’.”
He might not even have to consider it if he cannot raise the money. The idea of Joe Biden having a presidential library will be a complete failure, just like his presidency.
