Don Lemon, who announced his abrupt firing from CNN on Monday, has been fired.
Lemon posted a Twitter statement saying, “My agent informed me this morning that I had been fired by CNN.” “I am stunned.”
“I would have expected that after 17 years of working at CNN, someone from management would have the decency and told me directly. No one ever told me that I wouldn’t be able continue doing the work I loved at CNN. There are clearly larger issues at work. In closing, I would like to thank all of my colleagues and teams that I have worked with over the years for an amazing run. “They are the best journalists in the industry, and I wish all the very best to them.”
Fox News had announced that it would be parting with Daily Caller founder and host Tucker Carlson just minutes earlier.
Fox News released a statement saying that “FOX News and Tucker Carlson agreed to part ways.” “We thank him as a network host, and before that as a contributing contributor.”
