Governor Jared Polis (D) is the Colorado Democratic governor. Jared Polis (D), the governor of Colorado, is opening a range of public benefits for illegal aliens. These benefits are expected to cost the state millions.

Polis and Democrats signed a legislative package last year that included more public benefits such as dental insurance, family services and professional licenses for the state’s almost 300,000 illegal aliens.

Polis and Democrats also ensure that illegal aliens are eligible for taxpayer-funded subsidies to property taxes, rental costs, utility bills, and other expenses. This expansion alone will result in taxpayers paying approximately $12 million annually.

This effort is possible because President Joe Biden’s office has approved a plan by Colorado Democrats for subsidized healthcare to illegal aliens. Officials in Colorado hope to enroll approximately 10,000 illegal aliens under the subsidized insurance program within the first year. The program will continue to grow each year.

Polis also signed legislation that will allow illegal alien pregnant women and their children to be eligible for Medicaid starting in 2025. The federal government will pay the majority of the costs, and taxpayers will be responsible for nearly $30 million annually.

The rapid expansion of Colorado to attract illegal aliens to the state is a model for other states such as California, Illinois, New York. In these states, illegal aliens receive driver’s licenses and health insurance as well as protection from deportation.
