I must admit, I am enjoying the whole Trump-FBI raid news cycle. Although it’s patently absurd, it’s almost like watching a poorly written TV series. You just have to keep going until the end.
AG Merrick Garland spoke out on Thursday but didn’t really say much. Although he did consent to the sealing of the warrant for Trump’s raid, he didn’t give any details about the FBI or the evidence that supposedly underpinned their actions. It felt like a way to minimize the whole thing. What if the FBI couldn’t find what it wanted?
The leaks began. Within hours of Garland’s snide remarks about Americans questioning the FBI’s integrity and just hours later, someone from the department (or DOJ) ran to The Washington Post claiming that Trump’s house was searched by the government for “nuclear materials.”
Merrick Garland this afternoon: “Federal law, longstanding Department rules, and our ethical obligations prevent me from providing further details as to the basis of the search at this time”
Couple hours later: the most explosive imaginable details leaked to the Washington Post

Let me clarify. Donald Trump had nuclear documents so valuable that they warranted an FBI search. But the government waited 18 years to carry out the raid and made zero arrests. Because the government is known for not making arrests for stealing nuclear secrets, you know. This sounds completely legit, right?!
The media swam for it, and the resistance libs ran wild. What is the latest theory? Trump is being targeted by the Espionage Act. It’s not a joke.
More indicators this is about crimes like #Espionage Act:
NYT:
“Two people briefed on the classified documents that investigators believe remained at [MAL] indicated that they were so sensitive in nature, and related to national security, that the Justice Department had to act.”— Ryan Goodman (@rgoodlaw) August 11, 2022
Espionage carries the penalty of life in prison or the death penalty.

This is how anti-Trump sausage is made. While providing no justification, the FBI conducts a partisan witch hunt against the president’s top-ranking political opponent. In an effort to cover their tracks, the FBI then runs away and leaks something totally untrue and absurd to a left-wing publication. The mainstream media then takes the story as fact, even though it doesn’t make sense. The mainline left begins to develop radical theories about Trump as a Saudi Arabian secret agent. All of this is accepted as the norm, despite not having any evidence.
It’s just all so absurd. The big reveal that the FBI didn’t find anything is the fact that leaks don’t claim they found anything. Although they may have been searching for nuclear documents, what they did find would have been released immediately.
Trump will emerge from this situation looking much better than he’s ever been in a while. Although the resistance is still holding on to their hopes for an FBI frog march they feel like they have overplayed their hand. Trump will not be charged under the Espionage Act. In my opinion, he’s not going to be charged anything. He’s not charged with anything, at least not in relation to the January 6th fishing expedition.
