Every election cycle, the Democrats’ pandering to women becomes more shaming and cringe-worthy. This one was no exception.

Democrats believe that after the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, in summer 2022 they will see an “opening” with women. They treat them as monoliths and believe they prioritize “abortion rights” above all other issues in this country.

The issue of reproductive freedom has become a major focus for Democrats, especially with Kamala Harris as the leader of the ship. Harris and her supporters (including those from the mainstream media) have tried to paint a bleak image of how life would be for women in a Trump/Vance administration.

It’s not surprising that the topic of “women’s rights” and abortion in particular has been the subject of many ads, especially over the past two years. The most offensive ad of 2024 was released by a group called Vote for Common Good (VCG) on Monday.

The New York Times called VCG “a group for progressive Christians”. Their goal is to encourage Christians to vote Democratic and to oppose Trump administration policies that are contrary to their religious beliefs, especially in immigration, health care, and poverty. To show how far left the group is, Ted Lieu of California (D) served as an “informal advisor” for them.

VCG, not surprisingly, is also all in on the “women’s rights are being attacked” narrative. They have dropped this Julia Roberts special interest ad that was trying to sound like there’s only “one place” in America where women “still have the right” to choose – at the ballot box. The ad also implies that women across the country would take a risk by voting differently from their husbands during the presidential election. This is patently absurd.

Conservative women were not amused:

I’m sure many men would be disgusted by the implications of this ad.

Heh.

As a conservative, I will take Julia Roberts’ lectures on “the right to choose” about the 12th day of Never.

Julia, don’t leave mad, just leave.
