DeSantis Shuts Down Reporter Over Claims That Trans Ban for Minors ‘Hurts Patients’

A federal judge last week allowed Florida to enforce the state’s ban on child mutilation, while a lawsuit against the ban is being heard in the courts. This is a major victory for the sanity of protecting children from transgender cults. On Thursday, Gov. Ron DeSantis, (R-Fla.), slammed a reporter for suggesting that the ruling was harmful to patients.

The reporter said, “I want to talk about the transcare ban ruling. Opponents are saying that this will strain the health system and harm the patients.” What’s your reaction to that, Governor?

DeSantis, who refused to mince words, responded: “It’s the mutilation that harms people.” This is wrong. You don’t take 14-year-olds, inject them with hormone blocks, and then… try changing their sex through an operation.

He continued, “It is wrong.” “People who have been through this, there are so many lasting damages that have occurred.”

DeSantis supported his argument with examples from Europe where even liberal countries such as Sweden and the United Kingdom reversed their course on these practices.

DeSantis noted that the nations had stopped the barbaric practices, citing the lack of scientific backing and the harm they caused.

DeSantis exposed the financial motives for these procedures and accused the medical industry of making a profit on the backs of vulnerable children. Many people make money from these surgeries. He said that’s the reason it continues.

DeSantis did not hesitate to draw parallels between the transgender procedure and the handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic. He said that the medical establishment was pushing “junk science”, and would not admit their mistakes. He said that the medical establishment was pushing “junk science” and refused to admit mistakes.

The governor expressed concern about federal overreach in the future under a Harris administration. He fears that this administration could “use the administrative state to punish states who have taken steps like ours to protect minors against mutilation procedures.” I cannot say enough about his commitment to protecting children from these dangerous and evil surgeries.

“We won’t be a cottage industry for the mutilation minors.” DeSantis said unequivocally, “That is not going to happen on my watch.” “That’s not happening on mine.”

He also called out the hypocrisy that a state would claim kids were mature and old enough to make life-altering decisions.

How is it that we as a society can say that you are not allowed to have a tattoo until you’re 14, that you’re not allowed to drink beer in a bar at 16 (even with a parent), but you’re allowed to have these mutilation processes where they try to change the body parts or your gender at 15 or 14?

DeSantis’s unwavering dedication to protecting those who are most vulnerable is the type of leadership that we need in an age where radical ideologies have a strong hold on many leaders. Florida’s actions are a model to the rest of the nation, protecting children from harmful and unproven medical procedures. I can’t believe he is running for president again.

I was also impressed by DeSantis’ pride that Florida has taken the lead in protecting minors against these harmful procedures, despite federal opposition. He anticipates that an upcoming Harris administration will pressure states such as Florida to continue to protect minors in this way, especially in sports for women, where he believes that the fairness of the sport is compromised when men who pretend to be women compete with real women, robbing them of their opportunities.

DeSantis spoke non-stop for almost eight minutes and destroyed the transgender cult in an utterly precise way. The whole thing is worth watching.
