Multiple reports now indicate that the 1500-page budget plan which had conservatives infuriated for the past 24 hours, has been withdrawn.

Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Donald Trump, who will head the Department of Government Efficiency under the next administration, have been vocally against the bill since its inception. Trump expressed his opinion on the bill late on Wednesday.

The criticism, which grew steadily throughout the day, culminated in a lengthy written statement by Trump late in the afternoon. This forced Johnson to rethink his plan to avoid a shutdown at Christmas — and to maintain the support of the chaotic conference he needs to be reelected speaker early next.

Trump released his complete statement on Wednesday night. He focuses a great deal of attention on “sweetheart provisions” in the CR for Liz Cheney and government censors.

Congress Republicans did the most stupid and inept thing by allowing our nation to reach its debt ceiling in 2025. This was a mistake that now needs to be rectified.

Congress is currently considering a bill to provide special treatment for Liz Cheney and government censors. The bill will make it easier for Americans to conceal the records of the corrupt committee that met on January 6, which did nothing good for them and covered up security failures. This bill would give Congress an increase in pay at a time when many Americans are struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.

Biden is the best person to do this. It’s not a great idea, but it’s better done under his watch. What makes anyone believe that Democrats will cooperate with us on the debt limit in June, during our administration, if they won’t do so now? This debate should be held now. We should also pass a spending bill that does not give Chuck Schumer or the Democrats all they want.

Republicans want to help our farmers and pay for disaster relief. They also want our country to be successful in 2025. This can only be done with a temporary financing bill WITHOUT DEMOCRAT GIFTINGS, combined with an increased debt ceiling. Any other action is a betrayal to our country…

Reports have surfaced that House Speaker Mike Johnson is in talks for a simple continuing resolution without any extras. Washington D.C. is worried that a shutdown will be inevitable.
