In California, Why Does Michael Shellenberger Needs to Win in November?

According to the saying, “As California goes, so does America”. In fact, Los Angeles Times reported just before Inauguration Day about how the Biden administration was looking for model policies in climate change and social justice in California.

California quickly became the policy think-tank for the Biden/Harris Administration and soon will be under Democratic control. California is fast becoming the de facto policy think tank of the Congress soon to come under Democratic power. California has struggled with rising COVID-19 infection rates and a safety net that is being eroded by wildfires, pandemics, and high housing costs. This is fueling a mass exodus.

The current administration is a great source of inspiration for the incoming administration to create a progressive policy agenda.

It shouldn’t surprise that gas prices have risen to an all-time high and that crime is on the rise. Joe Biden has made it clear that he wants poor children to go hungry if your state doesn’t mandate letting boys use the girl’s restrooms.

Shellenberger is a man who is trying to change the direction of California. Shellenberger also supported Kevin Faulconer, a Republican, during the Gavin Newsom recall election.

California’s energy policy of not in my backyard, which was a rejection of fossil fuel energy, resulted in an unstable grid. California has now established open-air drug use in its largest cities as well as homeless camps. Many communities cannot afford to keep a pharmacy chain open.

Newsom has been involved in creating and pushing terrible policies since his 2004 election to San Francisco mayor. Shellenberger’s policies are focused on human flourishing and abundance, while Newsom and Biden focus on scarcity.

Shellenberger believes California needs more oil and natural gas production. Shellenberger plans to use emergency power to increase energy output and desalination to provide adequate water for residents.

Shellenberger may also be the only thing standing between Gavin Newsom and an inevitable presidential run, saving us all from his soul-crushing left-wing ideology. Taking California down a more sustainable path is just as important, especially if the state continues to set the direction for the entire nation. Shellenberger has the knowledge and immediate solutions to make that path a reality. Then the state can get back to policies that are Left-Right issues.
