Israel Defense Forces confirmed Tuesday that they killed senior Hamas members involved in the terrorist attack of October 7, in a precision aerial strike in Khan Yunis in Gaza.

The IDF conducted the strike after intelligence and surveillance identified terrorist leaders operating from a command center located in a designated humanitarian zone.

The operation targeted Samer Ismail Khdr Abu Dqqa (Head of Hamas aerial unit), Osama Tabesh, and Ayman Mahbhouh – both Hamas high-ranking officials.

According to Israel War Room, the IDF released a statement that read: “These terrorists have recently been operating to carry out terrorist activities against the IDF as well as the State of Israel.”

The statement accused the Hamas Government Information Office of spreading “lies and fake information throughout the war”, and said the reports of the office on the strike are deceptive.

Hamas is still using civilians as human stowaways, according to the IDF.

Hamas continues to use Gazan civilians to carry out terrorist acts despite the IDF’s extensive efforts to allow the Gazans to leave the combat zone, including the designation of a Humanitarian Area.

Jerusalem Post article expanded on IDF’s statement. It also noted that the now-deceased leaders were directly involved with the execution of the October 7 attacks which resulted in the killing of Israeli civilians.

The report noted that Hamas has been repeatedly recorded as using civilians to shield terrorists in their terrorist activities. It also pointed out that Hamas military commander Mohammed Deif was hiding in a humanitarian zone in the same area when he was killed by an Israeli airstrike.

The news reported that Hamas had executed six Israeli hostages including an American. Joe Biden criticized Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister for not doing enough to prevent the terrorist group from killing its hostages on October 7.

Biden’s administration was “shocked”, according to reports, that Hamas had murdered the hostages. The group then issued more demands and threats.

Hamas appears to have increased its demand that Israel release more prisoners:

In previous rounds, it was agreed that 150 Palestinians serving life sentences on death row would be freed in the first phase. Officials said that Hamas now demands a greater number.

Gaza is still tense, as Israel continues its effort to eliminate Hamas. This is despite the Biden Administration and other governments worldwide insisting on a truce.
