It Looks Like Team Biden Blew up Europe’s Nord Stream Pipeline

According to a shocking report by Seymour Hersh, the United States government destroyed the Nord Stream natural-gas pipeline that connected Russia’s suppliers to Germany last year.

Hersh wrote that the New York Times called it a “mystery”, but that the United States had executed a secretive covert operation at sea, which was kept secret until now.

Hersh quotes an anonymous source who “has direct knowledge of operational planning”, and claims that Navy divers planted remote-operated explosives last September, months after they were set off by NATO’s annual BALTOPS exercise.

Adrienne Watson, White House spokesperson, told Hersh via email that this was “false and complete fiction.”

A spokeswoman for the CIA stated that “This claim was completely and utterly false.”

German authorities claimed that last week Berlin’s investigators had “currently no evidence that Russia was behind the explosions at the Nord Stream 1 or 2 gas pipelines.” However, the CIA claimed that Russian submarines were found in the same area as the explosions.

The leaks were called “gross Sabotage” by Swedish investigators in November. This was due to the “explosive residue” that was found on several of the foreign items seized and analyzed.

Moscow could not sabotage natural gas sales to Germany when it has the option to turn off the gas at its source whenever it wishes. To get concessions from Berlin, the Russians have actually done this on occasion. Germany is still one of the most stubborn and slowest suppliers of western arms to Ukraine.

ASIDE: Germany’s leadership has been complicit for much of the century in decreasing German energy production and increasing Russia’s dependence. Gerhard Schroeder was the former German chancellor and is now chairman of Nord Stream. He will also be a highly-paid member of GAZPROM, the Russian company behind this pipeline.

The idea was purely hypothetical. If someone could do enough to remove Germany from Russian energy supplies, it wouldn’t be difficult for Moscow to push Germany around.

Hersh asserts that “Biden’s decision not to sabotage pipelines was made after nine months of intense back-and-forth, highly secretive debate within Washington’s national security team about how to stop Russian strongman Vladimir Putin using “natural gas to fuel his political and territorial ambitions.”

According to Hersh, the U.S. Navy’s innocuously titled Diving and Salvage Center on Florida’s panhandle houses “highly skilled deep water divers” who can “technically dive to do the good — using explosives to clear beaches and harbors of debris and unexploded ordinance — and the bad like blowing up foreign oil wells.”

They are the ones that allegedly planted the September bombs.

If they were indeed planted by the U.S. Navy bombs that shut off the natural gas supply to NATO allies in the weeks prior to winter storms descending on Europe.

A while back, one reader commented on my response. I said, “This is exactly what the White House kids might think is very clever.”

Although Hersh may not be the most reliable source of information, between Nord Stream XL and Keystone XL it is fair to ask: What do they have against energy pipelines?
