Jill Biden’s apparent need for acceptance and status might make her sympathetic if I didn’t think it hurt our country so much.
Joe Biden stated that she wanted to earn an Ed.D. because she was tired of receiving mail addressed to “Senator” but had no title. Most people receive a degree to show their accomplishments and to help them advance in their careers. The title is not because people want to have “status” – as the name implies.
The status issue is also what brought us to this situation, where her husband was the most powerful person in the country when he should have retired and spent time with his grandchildren.
Let’s go back to Jill. Her request for the audience to “Please Clap” was a truly pathetic one.

She exasperatedly said, “And I thought you would clap to support that!” It was sad. She wanted praise.
Why is she calling for unity while her husband has been doing everything he can to divide and demonize the right? Her husband blamed the right for his failures and accused them of being terrorists. Does she think people will forget about her if they go to the Reagan Institute? Perhaps that’s the reason she didn’t receive a standing ovation. It was probably because the crowd wasn’t fully compliant with the lie
