He appears to be more relaxed and almost relieved as President Joe Biden’s tenure in office comes to an end. Biden, who was smiling broadly a week after the election on November 5, invited Donald Trump to the White House. Both men agreed the meeting was friendly. Afterward, photos of Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, and Donald Trump were taken. Biden’s relationship with Vice President Kamala Harris is not as warm.
Joe and Jill Biden, Harris, and her husband Doug Emhoff all attended the Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday night. But as the Bidens went to their seats next to Harris and Emhoff, they appeared to ignore them entirely. The Bidens did not greet or even acknowledge the vice president and her husband as they took their seats next to them. The Bidens didn’t appear to even make eye contact. The apparent snub made the rounds of social media and created a lot of speculation about the reason for the silent treatment by the Bidens.
Many social media commentators, including Joe Rogan of the podcast, made the same remarks as others since Trump’s victory, that both Bidens “must have voted for President Trump.” One person asked, “What happened to joy?” Referring to Harris’s election campaign being called “joyful.” This was the answer to that post:
“Can you blame them? She convinced him that she would win. Worst case, they ousted him to allow her to run. They probably feel robbed in either case.”
The comment could have been made by a Trump fan who was enjoying the schadenfreude, saying, “I just love how awkward they are.”
Jill Biden did not appear to be in any awkward situations when she attended the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral with Trump. The two appeared to have a friendly conversation during the ceremony. Trump described Jill Biden as “very nice” when he spoke of their meeting. She could not have been more nice. It’s politics. It’s politics. “She was very kind and we had an excellent conversation.
The Democrats are feeling a lot of karma. Joe Biden, the Democrat nominee for 2020, was given one task: to be a president who would serve only one term and eliminate Donald Trump. He achieved this. He decided to run again, even though he was not mentally up to it. Kamala Harris only had one goal when he resigned from the race back in July: to defeat Donald Trump. This did not occur. The Democrats are now pointing fingers at each other to find out who is responsible for Harris’s defeat.
Biden’s stance has also enraged many House Democrats. Many believe that Joe Biden overstayed his welcome by not dropping out of the race sooner. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-IL) said:
“I think that there is a general feeling that he waited too long to come out and that this made it difficult for Vice-President Harris to run a campaign that was as impactful as possible.”
Biden had repeatedly stated that he would pardon his first son Hunter Biden. One House Democrat was blunter than any other, saying “I’m unplugging Biden now.”
Has Joe Biden had enough of being blamed for Harris’ loss in the elections? Possibly. In a little more than a month, Joe and Jill Biden are expected to return to Delaware. They don’t seem to care about playing nice anymore.
