On Monday, several lawmakers visited Butler, Pennsylvania to see the scene of the Trump assassination plot.

They walked on the roof where the shooter had fired from and visited it. They also discredited the explanation given by Secret Service Chief Kim Cheatle for why Secret Service agents weren’t stationed at the roof which was in easy view of Trump’s podium.

Cheatle had previously said she did not want agents on the roof due to its slope and “safety” factor.

She stated that the building was secured from the inside.

It was obvious nonsense when you look at the Secret Service snipers on a roof that appears to be more sloped. Cheatle was mocked by X for this absurd excuse.

When the lawmakers went up to the roof they dispelled this excuse, and even Carlos Giminez, a 70-year-old former SWAT officer, was able to walk around the roof with no difficulty.

Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla., told reporters that the failure to cover these things was unacceptable. “I was standing on the roof the director warned was dangerous for Secret Service personnel and others to be on. I am 70 years old. There’s nothing dangerous about that.”

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-TX, said that after visiting the roof where a sniper was “so near” to the former president Donald Trump’s stage. After visiting the shooter’s vantage point. He asked why counter-snipers weren’t on a nearby tower.

Here is Rep. Eli Crane, R-AZ who was a Navy SEAL. sniper.

He said: “It was obvious to me that many measures of security were dropped, making President Trump extremely vulnerable. Trump is extremely vulnerable. Many questions remain.”

Another video taken by Crane also struck me strongly, especially after hearing what Cheatle had said. How could anyone have gotten out onto the roof when the Secret Service was able to see the entire roof from that vantage point?

As you can see, the Secret Service was able to cover the entire roof. It’s amazing how they let the shooter access the roof and then crawl up it to fire multiple shots.

This is not all.

Mark Green, Homeland Security chair (R-Tenn.), said that he was informed Monday that local officials were not allowed to enter the Secret Service command post for the rally on July 13, even though they had previously been given access to similar events.

Green stated, “Normally, local law enforcement officers are allowed to sit at the Secret Service… control room.” Today, locals told us they weren’t allowed to let anyone in the control room. This makes you want to dig deeper, doesn’t it?

They completely blew it by using the entire roof excuse. Why is she spreading this nonsense when it is so obvious? Lisa McClain, R-MI, asked Cheatle earlier Monday during the House Oversight Committee’s grilling. “What are you covering up?”
