The Biden administration has been given a deflection from President Trump’s classified document scandal.
CNN reports that multiple classified documents were discovered at Mike Pence’s home after he had his lawyer search.
An ex-Vice President Mike Pence’s lawyer discovered about 12 classified documents at his Indiana home and turned them over to the FBI. Multiple sources familiar with the matter informed CNN.
The FBI and Justice Department’s National Security Division launched an investigation into the documents to determine how they got into Pence’s Indiana house.
According to sources, Pence’s lawyer discovered the classified documents at his new Carmel home, in Indiana. This discovery was made in response to revelations about classified material found in President Joe Biden’s private office and residence. This discovery is despite Pence repeatedly stating that he didn’t have any classified documents.
This leak is the first thing I notice. Biden was not mentioned in the media for his possession of classified documents for over two months. This is a convenient time frame considering the fact that the first trove of classified documents was discovered before the last election. CNN received the news about Pence within days. This reveals how partisan the leaks are at the bureaucratic levels.
I digress. Joe Biden now has his documents, which were helpfully provided to him by a former vice president who believes he can win the White House in 2024. It is frustrating to say the very least. Biden’s situation appears to be more serious and extensive than it seems. However, Pence may have more documents before all else is said and done.
Does it really seem so difficult for Republicans not to let their political enemies off the hook? This whole “snatching victory from the jaws” thing got old long ago. You know what? Let’s be consistent. If they were illegally in possession of classified information, we should throw the book at Pence or Biden. I believe most people have had enough of the two-tiered justice system. If you or I were in that position, we would be prosecuted.
However, that’s not the case. Pence’s stupidity will cause the narrative to shift to blaming and excusing the system to justify Biden’s crimes. This was the saving grace the president needed.
