Elon Musk has been making some waves against President Trump’s latest budget reconciliation legislation. He’s urging every American to tell their elected officials to ‘kill the bill,’ the signature piece of Trump’s second-term agenda. ‘Call your Senator, Call your Congressman, Bankrupting America is NOT ok! KILL the BILL,’ writes Musk on his social media platform, X.

Musk, the billionaire head of Tesla and SpaceX, just recently left his government role leading the Department of Government Efficiency. He’s been an outspoken critic of Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill Act,’ calling it a ‘disgusting abomination.’ ‘Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,’ Musk says. The bill has just squeezed through the House and is now under Senate consideration. And Musk isn’t the only one raising eyebrows. A slew of Republican senators are also expressing concerns about the bill’s lack of spending cuts and potential impact on Medicaid.

Musk has been very active on his platform, X, responding to a video post of House Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson claims that he and Musk left on good terms, but within 24 hours, Musk did a complete 180 and publicly opposed the bill. ‘A new spending bill should be drafted that doesn’t massively grow the deficit and increase the debt ceiling by 5 TRILLION DOLLARS,’ Musk responds. He’s not mincing his words!

Musk is standing against a bill that he sees as a potential disaster for America’s financial future. His vocal opposition is shedding light on the concerns shared by many conservatives. The drive-by media won’t tell you this, but there’s a growing resistance to this bill, and Musk is now at the forefront.

We need to scrutinize these colossal spending bills and ensure they’re not going to leave us drowning in debt.
