Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker will answer Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s stunt is being answered by J.B. Pritzker.
Abbott has bused approximately 500 illegal aliens from Texas and Chicago. Lori Lightfoot, Mayor of Chicago, expressed outrage at the use of illegals for political purposes and promptly sent several dozen illegals to Chicago from Burr Ridge. It was a political stunt.
Pritzker pulled off a political stunt after Abbott sent two more buses to Chicago. Pritzker declared the illegal busing of 500 people to Illinois a disaster and requested that the federal government pay the bill.
He also called out National Guard for “logistical assistance.” Meanwhile, the governor complained about not being informed that illegals were coming.
Pritzker stated that “the governor of Texas is forcing upon New York, D.C., and Chicago – and possibly other places – a needlessly late-minute and complicated process that is a heartless display of political politics over people.” “Why not give reasonable notice?” These people should not be sent to only blue cities or blue states. Why doesn’t Abbott send refugees to Mississippi and Oklahoma? It’s all about politics for him.”
It is. It’s all about politics for Lightfoot and you. You don’t even see Gov. Doug Ducey, Arizona, whine about “reasonable notice.” There’s nothing “heartless.” Lightfoot and you have been bragging for years that Chicago and Illinois are “sanctuaries for illegal aliens.” Here’s your chance.
Lightfoot then accused Abbott of being un-Christian for sending migrants on buses without warning – a system she called “callous and inhumane”.
Oh, really? Warum then did you send buses full of illegals from Chicago into two suburbs?
Officials from Elk Grove Village said that they were informed at 1:30 p.m. by state officials on Sept. 9, that the town would receive a busload with 90 migrants on September 10.
Elk Grove Village officials stated in a press release that they had received no prior notification of the arrival of migrants. They also claimed that they did not receive any direction from Chicago’s state, county, or City of Chicago authorities regarding how they should handle the unanticipated situation.
It’s not “callous” or “inhumane” if a Republican does it.
The Mayor and governor of New York called for federal action, saying that although there are funds available locally to address the current crisis, they will run out if it continues, which is what they anticipate it to be.
“This is not an entirely new problem at the border. However, this is a new problem for us,” Lori Lightfoot stated. “We need federal support, resources, and communication, and we must get that in a quick order,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said.
The White House has been mostly silent about the controversy, as you will see. Although they criticize Abbott, they have not indicated their support for federal funding going to Washington, New York, or Chicago. To admit that there is a border problem, would be to say Biden isn’t dealing with it. It’s delightful to see these politicians putting their money where their mouth is and criticizing “inhumane” border policies that are caused by illegal aliens that a president has encouraged to arrive here.
