The former president Donald Trump was scheduled to appear at the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday during oral arguments about the question of presidential immunity.

In anticipation of Trump’s appearance, the media set up microphones and cameras outside the courthouse.

The microphones at the E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. The media probably didn’t anticipate what they heard as they waited – a discussion in which the reporters were captured on a hot microphone talking about Trump being killed. They complained that they couldn’t get a good look at Trump because of where they were standing. They were clear about what they meant, comparing the situation to JFK.

JOURNO 1: What’s the worst thing? Even if his window is open and he’s hanging from it, he won’t be on your side.

JOURNO 2: If he is driving, then we have a great shot!

JOURNO 1: Oh, yeah. If he drives with the front windows open?

JOURNO 2: Or it is a convertible?

JOURNO 1: Oh, yeah. I didn’t think about it.

JOURNO 2: Oh. If he were to just pull up.

JOURNO 1 – JFK like?

JOURNO 2 (laughs).

JOURNO 1: Perhaps someone will tell JFK the same thing they did. You know what to do? You should get a convertible. It’s so beautiful outside!

The AP is the source of the feed, although it’s unclear who the journalists were.

It’s not funny, nor should reporters be making jokes about it. Especially in the current climate where Democrats are portraying Trump as a danger and stirring up fear. You’d think the Secret Service would investigate and pay these guys a call when they found out who they were. You know that this is a problem when the media acts in such a way. It’s no wonder you get biased stories with people like these.

Trump’s lawyers argued in court that he was immune from prosecution for his official acts.

In the 234-year history of America, no president has ever been criminally prosecuted for official acts. Trump’s lawyers wrote that, until 19 days ago no court had ever considered whether immunity existed from such prosecution. No appellate court has ever addressed this issue. This is one of the most important, complex, and intricate issues this Court will have to resolve.

Judge Tanya Chatman has already rejected two motions for dismissal. We’ll see what the D.C. Circuit says. Circuit says. Two of the three judges on the panel were appointed by Biden and one was appointed by George H.W. Bush. That’s bad news for Trump.
