He must achieve 15% in four polls between August 1 and 3 to qualify to take part in the ABC News Debate scheduled for September 10. Kennedy is not close to achieving his goal. Kennedy, along with third-party candidates, are targeting voters that dislike both Biden and Trump. This group has decreased in size due to the increased perception of Trump and Harris.

The candidates discussed the possible roles Kennedy might play in the future Trump Administration. Sources who were present at the meeting claim that Trump could offer Kennedy the opportunity to lead the Health and Human Services Department in a second Trump Administration.
Nicole Shanahan, who confirmed her support for Kennedy’s conversations with Trump to ABC News, said she was aware of the recent discussions between Kennedy and Trump. She stressed unity and addressed corporate influences on agencies.
If such talks are to occur, Kennedy is unlikely to drop out before the Democratic National Convention. Kennedy will not likely withdraw from the race before the DNC if these talks take place. The alliance would certainly help Trump to achieve his goal of making unity the cornerstone of Trump’s election campaign after the assassination attempt earlier this month.
