Suspects Arrested for Possession of Large Amounts of Fentanyl and Heroin

Investigators from Sumter County, SC have arrested three suspects for a large amount of drugs, including heroin and fentanyl.

On May 1, 2023, deputies executed warrants for two Sumter County homes.

Investigators discovered a large amount of illegal drugs, controlled substances, and firearms during the searches.

Two locations contained a total of 644 g of methamphetamine, with a street value estimated at $32,200. There were also 286 g of cocaine, with a street value estimated at $28,600. And 1320 grams of heroin/fentanyl with s street value estimated to be $198,000.

Deputies say they also discovered an undisclosed sum of money and three firearms.

Jalik Shykeil is charged with methamphetamine trafficking, heroin, and cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl/heroin, and with possession of a controlled substance.

Shajuan Johnson has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, heroin/fentanyl, and cocaine.

Stacy Wright has been charged with possession and intent to distribute heroin/heroin/fentanyl, as well as possession of a controlled drug.

Tucker is currently being held in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Johnson and Wright were taken to the Sumter County Detention Center.

Johnson was released from jail on May 2, 2023, on a surety cash bond. Wright was also released on the same day on a surety cash bond.
