Tara Reade, a former Senate aide, called for the House Republicans to open an investigation into claims that she was sexually assaulted in 1993 by Senator Joe Biden. She told The Daily Caller that she would testify under oath.

Reade stated that it would be “a very different thing,” if she could testify under oath. She also said that she would provide any information Congress needed, and that Congress could ask me any questions.

“I think that we should have the conversation, rather than me being erased and other women who tried to come forward,” Reade said, adding that House Republicans should open an investigation while they still have a majority.

Reade claimed that Biden sexually assaulted and raped her in a Senate corridor in 1993. He pounded her against a wall, reached under her clothes, and then sexually violated her. She claimed that she filed a 2020 police report about the incident and that no thorough investigation was ever conducted.

The New York Times reported that Reade’s Senate office interns and other staff members denied knowing of any sexual misconduct between Reade, Biden and their former staffers. According to the outlet, she could not recall details of the incident such as the date and exact time.

Biden’s staff members at the time, including chief of staff Ted Kaufman, aide Dennis Toner and executive assistant Marianne Baker all denied that Reade had come forward to them regarding the alleged sexual assault.

NPR 2020: Kaufman and Toner told NPR that Reade was not theirs and that Reade did not contact them about the allegations. According to congressional records, she was employed by Biden for about nine months.

Baker released a statement stating that she had never witnessed, heard about, or received any reports of inappropriate conduct during her years of service as Senator Biden’s assistant. This was not Ms. Reade or anyone else. I don’t have any memory or knowledge of Ms. Reade’s account of events. This would have made a lasting impression on me, both as a female professional and as a manager. These obviously false allegations are completely contrary to both the inner workings and the man I have known and worked with for nearly two decades,” NPR reported.

Reade stated that if the Senate staff who served under Biden had to testify, “I think they would have to confess something very different.”

Reade stated that he would place his fingers under my neck and underneath my hair and then move his finger up and downward. He would massage my shoulders and touch me. She said it was “just weird”, noting that this had happened before the incident in a hallway.

Biden’s spokespersons have repeatedly denied these allegations.

At the time of publication, the White House did not reply to Daily Caller about the allegations or whether Biden would testify under oath.

Reade claimed that her mother called “Larry King Live,” August 1993, and asked Larry King what she could do to help her daughter with the “problems” she had encountered while working as a “prominent Senator”.

Audio evidence shows that a woman called in at the time to the show. Reade claims that the woman calling is her mother.

King replied, “In other words, she had an interesting story to tell, but she chose not to tell it out of respect for her boss.”

According to The New York Times, Reade’s friend claimed that she told her of the alleged assault at that time. Another friend and Reade’s brother also said that Reade had informed them about the alleged assault over the years.

The Caller was told by Reade that she had filed a report on sexual harassment through the Senate in 1993. It was filed on paper. Reade said that if the paper is still available, it would be sealed together with Biden’s papers at University of Delaware.

She said that she was “threatened” when she complained to her superiors and was eventually fired from her job.

Reade was told by a member of staff from the press secretary that they would f***ing destroy him if he continued to move forward.

She said that Reade was intimidated and traumatized by the incident, which led her to stay silent for many years.

The House Republicans announced they will launch an investigation into Biden. They claim that Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s overseas business deals.

James Comer, the Republican Kentucky Representative, was not available to comment on Reade’s request.

Biden supporters used a 2020 probe to investigate Reade, claiming that she made a false statement under the oath to discredit her.

South Bay defense lawyers investigated whether Reade had misrepresented her education under oath. According to the Intercept, a spokesperson for Reade’s undergraduate college stated to CNN that she had never graduated.

According to Intercept, the probe was closed and no charges were filed. Reade sent letters to various publications asking for clarifications on her claims regarding false claims.
