The Democrats Pushing Hardest for Student Loan Forgiveness Are Deep in Debt Themselves

Democrats rarely serve the people. They are much more likely to serve themselves. Recent reports show that many of those who advocate for student loan elimination also own large amounts of debt themselves.

Daily Caller reports that 13 Democrats are pushing for student loan forgiveness in Congress. They have student loans ranging from $15,000 to $300,000. I’m sure you can guess who they are but I’ll tell you anyway:

This includes New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who owes up to $50,000 worth and has repeatedly tweeted about the issue, and also Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who owes up to $100,000 and has called canceling student debt “a racial justice issue.”

New York Rep. Grace Meng, who along with other Democrats in March demanded Biden forgive student loans “to address racial and economic equity issues,” disclosed in 2021 that her spouse owes up to $250,000 in educational debt.

Members who have backed debt cancellation while reporting student loans for themselves include Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, and California Reps. Jimmy Gomez and Nanette Barragan, Pennsylvania Rep. Brendan Boyle, Connecticut Rep. Jahana Hayes, Florida Rep. Darren Soto, and Texas Rep. Veronica Escobar.

Omar reported she owes Nelnet loan service $50,000 in 2021. Georgia Rep. Niema Williams’s spouse owes Navient and College Foundation $250,000

The move to eliminate student loans is not necessarily a Democratic gesture. It’s a way for students to get rid of the student debt they have accumulated at a university.

The “debt forgiveness” is not as it appears. Debt collectors can pile up the debt while you, an average American with your own debts and a country inflating at lightning fast, must pay them.

Ron DeSantis is a wise man:

These Congressmen didn’t have the opportunity to get a higher education.
