Welcome, September! Election Day is just two months away. What are the presidential campaigns of the major parties doing to raise money for the final stretch? We have a part of the answer, and it’s a good thing for Donald Trump.

According to AP:

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) – Donald Trump’s campaign reported that they had brought in $130,000,000 in August. This is not as much money as in the previous month but it was a number that his advisors felt put him in a good position to win the next two months of the general election campaign.

The report continues:

Trump’s advisers reported $327 million in cash at the beginning of August. By the end of the month, they said that the campaign had $295 million.

It is important to highlight who is the main donor of Trump’s money. The majority of donations to Trump come from small donors who contributed just under $60. This is a sign of a healthy fundraising effort.

Trump’s campaign reported Wednesday that 98% of the donations were under $200. The average donation was $56.

Team Kamala has not yet commented on the month. They said in their last letter that they had raised $540 million between the day Joe Biden announced he would be stepping down from the Democrat nomination, and the Sunday the following week when the DNC was held to elect Vice President Harris as the standard bearer.

We’ll keep you posted on any developments.
