The sudden death of WWE star Bray Wyatt has left the pro wrestling community in shock. But the news even spread outside the squared circle.

Vanessa Hudgens, an actress, posted a heartfelt tribute to Wyatt Rotunda on Thursday’s Instagram Stories.

Hudgens wrote: “I am heartbroken by this news. I did not know him personally, but I am a huge fan. Bray Wyatt had a lot of power. A legendary wrestler who brought joy to my darkest side. Every time he appeared, I was ecstatic. I have been waiting for him to return on SmackDown and I am so sad that it won’t be happening again.”

“Deepest sympathy to his family and close friends.”

Hudgens’s post was similar to that of John Cena, The Rock, Ric Flair, and many others who were shocked by the news of Wyatt’s death.

Paul “Triple H Levesque” of WWE announced Wyatt’s death Thursday night. The wrestler, who was 36 years old, died on Thursday night.

Levesque posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he had received a phone call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, who told him the sad news of Windham Rotunda’s untimely death. “Our thoughts are for his family, and we ask everyone to respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

It was shocking to learn of Wyatt’s death, as earlier in the month it was reported that the former world champion was close to returning to the ring following a battle with a “life-threatening disease.”

WWE did not mention the cause of death.

WWE paid tribute Friday night to Wyatt as the show began.

Wyatt returned to WWE in October 2022. He was featured in several programs but had been sidelined due to health problems before WrestleMania.
