Ten days have passed since Kamala Harris became the Democratic Party’s Chosen One, to replace Joe Biden at the presidential election of 2024. She didn’t win a single primary vote but Democrats waved her hand and now she is the Democratic Party’s candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
Since then, she has never given a press conference that was not scripted.
Harris announced late on the 22nd that she had secured the nomination, stating that she had won the support of a majority (nearly 4,000) of the delegates at the Democratic National Convention next month. Harris has been on the campaign trail since then, speaking at different events and even chatting with reporters from time to time, but she hasn’t held a press conference or given a wide-ranging interview.
Harris has been so elusive, that The New York Times has published excerpts of an interview she did last year to determine where her answers are “landing now.”
Her answers today would be somewhere on the left of Rosa Luxemburg, that is for sure. Kamala Harris is not a moderate. However, given the recent trajectory of the Democratic Party, her current positions on issues like taxes, energy, and guns may be considered moderate in a few years. Her reluctance to speak to the media, even friendly legacy media, is raising some eyebrows.
After Biden’s news, a large part of the Democratic Party, including governors and senators as well as House members and party leaders, rallied around Harris. Critics have noticed that Harris has not been asked any tough questions in the past.
Noah Rothman, senior writer at National Review, asked his followers on social media Wednesday: “When will Kamala Harris hold a news conference?”
Here’s a tip, Mr. Rothman. She won’t do it, as long as she gets away with it. A press conference where she (presumably) would have to answer questions on the spot would be as much of a Dracula to Kamala Harris, as an open unscripted one would be.

What is the DNC trying to hide? What is it that the DNC is trying to hide? What is the Harris Campaign trying to hide? It’s simple: Kamala Harris doesn’t have much intelligence, is hideously uninformed, and can’t even speak coherently beyond a few sentences without collapsing in an intelligible verb salad.
The DNC, and the Biden Campaign, have protected the old Joe Biden, who is befuddled by his run for the 2020 presidential cycle, from any unscripted or uncontrolled events. Since he entered the Oval Office, he’s been protected, coddled, and sheltered. Every question he answered and every statement he made were planned, prescreened, preapproved, and scripted. Joe Biden’s handlers wouldn’t let him deviate from the script, because such incidents always ended in disaster. The same will be done for Kamala Harris because she is incompetent. Kamala Harris is not suffering from dementia but she has other issues: she is not very smart, she speaks badly, she lacks the personal appeal and charisma of an acorn and she doesn’t have much charisma.
It won’t be long before the Democrat machine can keep her from unscripted appearances. She will eventually have to read from a script, maybe in a debate against Donald Trump. Then it will be Word Salad II: Return of the Killer Word Salad.
