Reports claim that President Biden stated that Pope Francis and he are “on the same page,” when it comes to the Israel-Hamas Conflict. He also said the pontiff has endorsed his “gameplan.”

The New York Post reported that Biden talked about his conversation at a White House event unrelated to conflict during which he spoke of his conversation with Pope Francis.

Biden stated, “The pope is on the same page as I am.” He was interested in our plans to address some of the crises we face, especially in Israel.

Biden is the only Catholic president in U.S. history.

He explained his plan for the Middle East during the Monday event focused on the economy. The U.S. should “provide the kind of aid to Israel that it needed.”

He added, “And the Pope was supportive across the board of what we are doing.”

Francis called on the world last week to choose “only one side” of the Israel-Hamas conflict – that “of peace.”

Francis told his weekly audience that war does not solve problems, but only causes death and destruction. It also increases hatred and multiplies vengeance. Reuters reported that war erases the past.

He reportedly said: “I urge Christians to only take one side in this war, the peace-loving side, not by words, but through prayer and complete dedication.”

Pope Francis has also urged the release of more than 200 hostages, and increased humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians.

Biden said that he supported Israel’s right to fight Hamas. He also requested $14.3 billion in funding from Congress for Israel’s military so they can fight off attacks.
