Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to X Monday night to express her condolences over the death of a woman who was killed in an accident. Local law enforcement responded to bomb threats made against Greene’s Rome, Georgia residence.
According to officials, Tammie Pickelsimer died after her vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by a member of the county bomb squad who was responding to Rep. Greene’s home.
Rome Police Department spokesperson Kelly Madden told USA TODAY that a county bomb squad was deployed to respond to the threat at Greene’s residence. An officer called to join the response was in a car accident on his way to the station. While the officer was not critically injured, the other driver involved died, Madden said.
According to the preliminary findings of Georgia State Patrol, Tammie Pickelsimer, 66, was pulling out of a parking lot onto a road where an officer was driving. When the officer braked, he hit the driver’s door. GSP reported Pickelsimer had died from injuries in the hospital.

This murderer was murdered in Rome Georgia.
It’s unacceptable that police are required to respond to threats of this nature, and also for them to kill people.
I’m grateful to the Rome Police Department for everything they have done to protect Rome and the lives that they have sacrificed.
I’m also angry. It should have never happened and I hope that it won’t.
