Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), seemed to deny President Joe Biden’s administration resettled Afghans unvetted, flagged for their ties with terrorism across the United States, despite a Defense Department Inspector general report that stated otherwise.

Biden created a refugee/parole pipeline to allow tens of thousands Afghans to be quickly flown into American communities after the U.S. Armed Forces pulled out of Afghanistan in August 2021. They were not required to screen or interview them in person.

Breitbart News reported that a Department of Defense InspectorGeneral report revealed that Biden’s agencies failed properly to vet Afghans arriving in America. The report stated that 50 Afghans who were already in the United States were flagged as having “significant security concern” by the Department of Defense Inspector General.

The report says that most of the unvetted Afghans flagged as having possible terrorist ties have disappeared into the country’s interior. One instance was that the report found only three of the 31 Afghans who were flagged for security concerns months ago.

Mayorkas attacked the Defense Department Inspector General’s report at a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing. He claimed that it contains “factual inaccuracies” as well as seeming to deny that any resettlement of Afghans without terrorism ties was done.

“We believe there are infirmities in the report — factual inaccuracies. Mayorkas stated that we continue to examine the report in order to find all of them. “… I am aware that the report contains a lot of inaccuracies.”

Senator James Lankford (R,OK) pointed out that the Defense Department InspectorGeneral report described 28 Afghans who were resettled by the Biden administration in the United States. Later it was revealed that they had matched individuals on federal government’s “improvised bomb device list.”

“We don’t know where these individuals are at the moment. Lankford stated that they are in the country. “We know that the number could be as high 50, and we want to be in a position to obtain information.”

“DHS said that they vehemently disagree with this. I want to know the reason for that. He said that at this point we only have a statement that 28 to 50 people had IED fingerprints, but that they are in the country somewhere.

Project Veritas, a watchdog group, released an explosive report this week accusing Biden in a scheme to resettle Afghans in American communities. The identities of the individuals on the federal government’s “Terrorism Watch List” are allegedly identical.

Biden is asking Congress to approve the resettlement and naturalization of Afghans in the next ten years. This plan is supported by Senators. Lindsey Graham, R-SC, and Rob Portman R-OH.
