The 1,500-page continuing Resolution in Congress was stopped by an outcry of the people led by Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and President-elect Trump.

Democrats blew a temper tantrum, arguing that they had to pass it for “disaster aid.”

Here’s Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA).

They haven’t done a thing to help those who still suffer in North Carolina. All they need to do is pass a bill that’s free of pork. As Sen. Mike Lee, R-UT, said, it was their fault and the fault of anyone who voted for this.

It’s a fact. How could anyone vote in favor of a bill that is 1,500 pages long when they haven’t even read the entire thing before voting? They’ve done it time and again in Congress.

This is why nothing has been changed. It’s how and why people can keep adding monstrous pork and things we, the people, don’t want. Are we then the bad guys because we object to this messed-up process? I don’t think so.

Musk and Ramaswamy are against this because it will damage their DOGE efforts before they even come in if they have to deal with more pork. What was so great about people talking about this on X over the last day was that they finally heard what people wanted. The GOP agreed on a Plan B Continuing Resolution that was cleaner and did not include the pork Vivek, and others were talking about.

This was a tangible result. Musk illustrated the importance of it in a powerful image.

The shoe is now on the Democrats’ feet. They’re the only ones who will vote against a clean bill if they don’t support it. The GOP must finally begin to put their foot down in this way to bring about real change.
