It took longer than it should have, but the House of Representatives finally voted to censure the virulently anti-Semitic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).

The New York Times:

The House voted Tuesday to censure Rashida Tlaib (Democrat from Michigan), formally rebuking her for her comments regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.

Twenty-two Democrats voted with most Republicans in favor of passing the resolution accusing Ms. Tlaib “of promoting false narratives” regarding Hamas’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, and “calling for the destruction of the State of Israel.” Four Republicans voted to censure Ms. Tlaib. One Democrat, three Republicans, and one Republican voted “present”, refusing to take a stance.

After the gavel was dropped, Democratic lawmakers, most of whom were progressives, embraced Ms. Tlaib and surrounded her on the floor.

This last sentence serves as a reminder to all progressives who are anti-Semitic. Many of you will say, “But, they already dominate the Democratic party!” It’s true. But the “progressive spectrum” is large. They are certainly far left but they also remember when Democrats were not always crazy.

Rashida Tlaib, a repugnant human being and proof that Democrats cannot be trusted, is an example of why. Her primary function within the party is to make Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y. seem reasonable at times. Tlaib is passionate about her anti-terrorist cause but lacks intelligence. The elders in the Democrat Village tolerate her because they understand that hating America, its allies, and the United States is part of their New World Order.

The censure comes after a failed attempt last week made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., which saw 22 Republicans vote against. The GOP members who opposed the censure proposal argued over the wording. Their opposition was weak and pathetic from the perspective of those who believed that censure for the execrable Tlaib would be a mere slap on the wrist.

We have discussed in my Morning Briefing that since the attacks of Oct. 7, this is not the time to be a stickler for protocol or decorum and to mollycoddle those who are on their side. In the Israel/Hamas war, there is no doubt about which side is good. Hamas may use Gazans as human shields but they also support Hamas. Democrats’ attempts to make a distinction between Hamas, and the people of Gaza in order to achieve diplomatic goals are not based on fact.

Rashida Tlaib may equivocate as much as she likes, but in reality, she is a proponent of the destruction of Israel. People in power who want to kill our closest allies are cancerous and threaten the fabric of the country. Tlaib’s censure is a start, but it is Americans who vote enthusiastically for her that is the real problem.
