Pete Buttigieg’s situation is only getting worse. Many flights are being cancelled again after Southwest Airlines destroyed holiday plans for many Americans with mass cancellations.
Although I was able to avoid the snowstorm, it didn’t stop me from going on holiday. However, it does mean that it grinds my gears that the man whose job it’s to do something isn’t doing anything. Pete resorted to a strong-worded tweet statement, much like the establishment GOP does when faced with its failures.
He then sent a short, but not too strong, letter to the airlines, asking them to treat their passengers as people and threatening to use his enforcement power. It costs $221,000 per year to write strong-worded letters. This guy should be in Congress, he and Senator Lindsey Graham will be the new bipartisan force for the Beltway.
The department seems to be late in doing something. We will see how effective their response. Pete’s job, however, is to ensure that this does not happen and not force gender-neutral language on the part of airmen.
This should not be shocking to anyone who pays attention. Do you remember when Los Angeles’ port became so jammed that basic goods we take for granted began disappearing from shelves?
Pete was on paternity leaves. I have no problem with paternity leave being taken. However, Pete is in an important government position. Couldn’t Chasten have cared for the children? There is always another parent who can help, gay or straight. It has been practiced for millennia. He can do this too.
If Pete could lie about the crisis, I would have a little more respect for him. Instead, he blamed Joe Biden for his economic “success”.
Pete, middle Americans aren’t stupid. Being from the woods in my backyard near South Bend, you should know this. I can calculate how much my grocery bill has increased by doing math. MSDNC and any other network might have been helpful in the past but is not going to work anymore. They don’t have the time to be with seniors. Biden’s greatest economic success is killing their retirements.
The LA Times said that the shortage was due to workers refusing work at low wages in California. Pete could have blamed COVID as Democrats do when the race card runs out. He would then have to blame COVID shut downs, vaccine mandates, and California’s ridiculously high cost-of-living – which would have led to Gov. Hairgel… I mean Gov. Newsom. We can’t criticize America’s favorite governor, Newsom, before he is nominated as the DNC nominee 2024.
Pete instead has been trying to tear down one Detroit “racist” highway. These highways that have divided communities in the 60s and 50s are horrible. They are ugly, and some were built for racist purposes. Let me tell Pete, your party has ruled Detroit for more than 60 years. These highways were built by your party, not just in Detroit but also in New York City and Chicago. Detroit, once America’s richest city, is now a disaster. It’s not just one highway that is the problem, it’s you.
Seriously, who is this guy? You will know the answer when you ask Joe Biden why he is president. They don’t know what they are doing. Joe doesn’t even have an inkling. Both take time off, while the country burns.
Let’s face facts. Pete is a white young man in a Democratic government. Either you have intersectional points, or you need to be really skilled at your job – Merrick Garland rounded up dissidents, Janet Yellen shilling CBDCs for us all to become financial slaves of Federal Reserve.
Prior to now, I had never seen the transportation secretary on TV. Because Trump has been attacking her lately, I can’t remember the names of previous transportation secretaries. It’s clear that Pete is not doing a good job if he has to do media hits and defend his department’s mistakes before an angry America.
Pete should be made to fly coach on his own funds as a punishment. No more private jets. He doesn’t have to deduct this amount from his taxes. Reps. Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz: If you are reading this, please pass a bill to this effect. This will restore the IRS expansion with the sole purpose of making sure Pete doesn’t escape this punishment. Shut down the Transportation Department. It was fine without it in 1966.
