Meghan Markle Advised Against Publicly Supporting Kamala Harris

This is the most hilarious story since Kamala became the Democratic Party’s presumed nominee. Newsweek reported that Meghan Markle who was once an actress is being advised not to support Kamala Harris as it would “hurt both women.”

According to the report, Markle “spoke in glowing terms” about the vice president and Harris has already “the support of some important figures Meghan respects.” It would therefore be natural for Markle to join the list of celebrities who have predictedly endorsed Democrats for president. It’s not as simple as it seems.

Edward Coram James is a PR expert and the chief executive officer of Go Up digital marketing agency. He told Newsweek that a Meghan endorsement could be detrimental to both women.

He said, “I don’t think so about her or Kamala Harris.”

Coram James stated, “I believe it would have a detrimental impact on Kamala.” “The people who like Meghan Markle are likely to already like Kamala and vote for her.”

“There is only a small group of young people who are progressive and like Meghan Markle.

“Those people had an issue with Biden.” It doesn’t seem like the problem has been transferred to Kamala. So, unless Kamala does something wrong, they have those people under control.

Harris has also received other high-profile endorsements and seems to have settled on a cultural reference point — Charlie XCX’s album Brat.

Coram James, a reporter for Newsweek said, “Charlie XCX has already endorsed Kamala.” Charlie XCX is already speaking to the same demographic as Meghan Markle. The only thing Meghan Markle could contribute to the conversation is negativity. Some people hate her so much, that her endorsing Kamala would have more of an effect on people who dislike Meghan rather than convincing people who like Meghan.

Recent polling conducted by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek before Joe Biden dropped out of the race for president demonstrated Meghan’s ability to swing people away from a candidate that she endorsed.

About 20 percent of U.S. adult citizens said that they would vote less for a candidate who was endorsed by Meghan or Harry, compared to 21 percent more likely. Meanwhile, 48 percent said there would be no difference.

I find it hard to believe that celebrities are so important. Yet, here we are. According to the article in 2020, Markle encouraged Americans to back Michelle Obama’s When All Women Vote campaign, which targeted a more likely demographic to vote against Donald Trump. The media backlash was triggered by her participation, which was seen as damaging to the monarchy’s impartiality.

Coram James stated that “from a reputation perspective, she should stay out of politics until further notice.” There were some polls taken earlier in the year which suggested that her reputation had improved slightly, at least in the U.S. This coincides almost perfectly with the fact that she stopped doing controversial things. “I know that the royal family’s life isn’t perfect, but she had a hard time because a lot seemed political.

“From an optical point of view, it appeared that someone with very progressive political views was trying to force the Royal Family to follow their progressive politics, and getting upset when they did not. This was part of why she was unpopular. It’s not ideal to have her wage war on the family of her husband.

Coram James argues that Markle’s previous attempts to enter the political arena have hurt her reputation.

After that, I don’t want to have to write about her ever again.
