Ron Jeremy, a former adult film actor, was moved to a private residence due to his deteriorating condition.

“The court granted conditional release to the defendant from Twin Towers at the request of the Public Guardian. That was done over our objection, which was based upon public safety concerns. According to the Public Guardian, he will be placed in a private residence where he will be given 24-hour care,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated.

According to them, they claim that he’s ‘practically confined to bed’ and is not able to leave his residence. We were concerned that, even if this was true, he might still assault caregivers as he allegedly has done in other facilities. The judge said that the public guardian was responsible for this and could hire male caretakers and overruled our opposition.”

Jeremy, whose full name was Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, was declared mentally incapacitated to stand trial in Los Angeles in January of this year for dozens of rape and sexual assault charges.

The Superior Court Judge Ronald S. Harris has reviewed reports by both the prosecutors and Jeremy’s defense, which stated that the 70-year-old is suffering from “incurable cognitive decline.”

Jeremy was charged in 2020 with 34 counts of sexual abuse, including 12 counts involving rape. This involved 21 women over a period of more than 20 years.

He pleaded innocent at the time and his lawyer maintains Jeremy’s guilt.

Stuart Goldfarb stated that Jeremy’s lawyer would not be able to conduct a trial. He will instead be placed in a state-run mental facility for people who are unable to help his attorneys in court. It’s really sad.

He added, “Two more years have passed and I have gotten a great deal more information about the case.” In a statement sent to The Associated Press. “And I think if he were to go to trial, he would be found innocent.” He won’t have the chance to clear his name because he isn’t going to trial.”

According to the transcripts of grand jury testimony obtained by The Associated Press from the alleged victim, Jeremy would lure the victims into a small secluded area, usually the bathroom of a West Hollywood restaurant he frequents. He would then trap them, and sexually abuse them.
