There were runoffs in several Georgia House races and congressional primary results on Tuesday. While some Virginia House results have not yet been tallied, the Senate Primary has already been won by Republican Hung Cao. He will face incumbent Democrat Tim Kaine, who is running for re-election, on November 8th.

The former president Trump said on Truth Social last month that Cao is “a highly decorated Special Operation Officer and Combat Veteran”. Hung Cao has dedicated his life to stopping inflation, growing your economy, securing your border, supporting our incredible Military/Vets, and defending our Second Amendment which is under constant attack. ”

He added, “Hung Cao has my total and complete endorsement.”

Cao, a retired Navy Captain aged 52 years old with a fascinating backstory.

Cao is a Vietnamese Refugee who came to the United States at age 4 and studied in the U.S. Naval Academy. He revealed, during a video campaign that he had served as a Navy Special Operations Officer for 25 years and was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia before he turned to politics.

Cao is hoping to use this video as he prepares himself for the general election.

Cao has his work cut out for him, despite the overwhelming victory he had in the primary (results indicated a lead of almost 52 points with 93% of the votes counted). Kaine has held the seat in the Senate for the last two terms and was Hillary Clinton’s running mate at the 2016 presidential election.

Cao’s victory speech on Tuesday shows that he’s ready to fight.

Cao said in a release after the results of the elections were announced: “Tomorrow, we will start our campaign for the nation that saved me. “I served 25 years in the Navy, and Tim Kaine was elected to office for 30. We both had our paychecks signed by taxpayers during the same period.

Cao pointed out that the timing coincided the Biden administration policy, which grants citizenship to around half a million married immigrant couples and their children.

He said: “President Trump and I will both win. We’ll secure our border.” We will save America and protect Social Security. “I’ve fought for my country for 25 years and I’m not done. ”

Cao expressed gratitude for his victory and focused on the future.
