The White House Daily Press Briefing spiralled out of control when a reporter dare asked Dr. Anthony Fauci if he had investigated the origins COVID-19.

What has happened?

While Dr. Ashish Jha (White House COVID Response Coordinator) was answering questions at the briefing, Fauci attempted to get Diana Glebova, Daily Caller White House correspondent, to ask him what he had done to investigate the origins and spread of the COVID pandemic.

Glebova shouted at Fauci after Fauci had answered a previous question. This is a common practice in a gaggle. Karine Jean-Pierre, White House press secretary, responded by scolding Glebova.

Simon Ateba, Today Africa News correspondent, intervened for his colleague and blurted out that Glebova had “good questions.”

Next month, Dr. Fauci will be stepping down as the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief physician adviser to President Joe Biden. On Tuesday, he gave his last government briefing.

Rand Paul (R.Ky.) has however promised that he would continue to investigate Fauci and the government in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. He will also examine whether the U.S. government participated in gain-of function research after Fauci’s retirement.

Paul and other Republicans would like to know if NIAID grant funding for EcoHealth Alliance is linked to coronavirus research at Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Glebova reacted to the incident by suggesting Jean Pierre refused to call her due to the nature of her question.
