As I wrote in April, Caitlin’s star player, Iowa’s women’s basketball squad, received praise from the head coach of South Carolina, who defeated them in the finals of the women’s Final Four. Clark has received more praise since she entered the WNBA as the Indiana Fever’s number-one pick in the draft. This comes along with a barrage of insults and near-assaults, which at times weren’t even called fouls. Angel Reese, a fellow rookie who is also a WNBA player, has been the most vocal about criticizing Clark and her fans.

She has achieved a lot, and her achievements are numerous, beginning with breaking the NCAA women’s basketball scoring record.

Clark was voted unanimously Rookie of The Year by the Associated Press in the month prior. Clark, who had a historic season with Iowa women’s ball, began her WNBA debut by averaging 19,2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game.

The Fever won 20 victories in the 2024 WNBA draft, their first with that many wins since 2015. The Fever won 20 victories in their first 20-win season since 2015. Indiana was also ranked No. The Indiana Pacers also earned the No. The Sun won three games in a row. The Fever only won 13 games in 2023.

Clark finished the season with a WNBA rookie record of 769 points, 122 made 3-pointers, and 337 assists. She was just six 3-pointers short of Sabrina Ionescu’s 2023 WNBA record.

Megan Rapinoe, a former US Women’s Soccer star and member of the Sisterhood of the Perpetually offended, criticized Clark for not doing more than simply playing her game.

While her rookie team did not make it past the first round in the WNBA Playoffs, Clark’s breakout star has managed to eke a win that is sure to enrage her haters with Thursday’s announcement as the WNBA Rookie Of The Year for this season.

Clark was almost unanimously chosen as the best choice by sports journalists and broadcasters.

Caitlin is the WNBA Rookie of the Year for 2024.

The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon.

Angel Reese received the remaining vote.

Clark must be pleased that Reese received only one vote, but this is probably not what she’s thinking about right now. Many people wonder why it is important to write about an award for sports. Clark is a great example of how to remain classy in the face of obstacles and drama. It’s important to have talent, but it’s also important to keep your eyes on the bigger goal of winning out over the naysayers. It’s an excellent lesson for all. It has inspired me and I’ve never even watched a quarter of WNBA.

I’m guessing that Caitlin was helped by the fact that her teammates had her back. They created a video to celebrate her new milestone.

Clark’s career is only just beginning, as you would say for any other phenom. In the next few years, we’ll be hearing much more.
