A recent town hall meeting left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) railing about Russian “internet disinformation” and calling some of her own constituents “dangerous propagandists.”

Omar hosted Thursday’s town hall meeting where at least one constituent raised concerns about America’s financial support of the war against Ukraine.

An account called “Jose Vega — Vote Diane Sare! Twitter shared a video of the incident.

“Anti-War Protester confronts #SquadMember @IlhanMN regarding her funding of Ukraine War, that is leading to nuclear war,” the tweet reads. “She was one the 30 cowardly men who withdrew their request for diplomatic negotiations between Russia and Ukraine!”

An unidentified man in the audience publicly criticized Omar’s vote for funding Ukrainian forces, despite Omar’s party’s history of avoiding American intervention in foreign conflicts.

An unnamed audience member shouted “You are supposed to be a progressive Democrat,” as Omar spoke. Eighty billion dollars for Ukraine isn’t antiwar!

Omar replied that U.S. funding had assisted Ukrainians in their defense. Omar claimed then that U.S. funding had helped Ukrainians defend themselves.

Omar was then shocked to find herself a victim and tried to take some of the sufferings from Ukraine into her own.

Just weeks after her 40th birthday, the Democrat stated that “We are helping kids like me.”

Omar was furious at the man and continued to argue for a while with Omar. Omar then became mad with her and said that she did not have the right to influence the votes cast.

“Unless you are someone like me that has been that child,” she yelled, “you do not get to tell me what my votes mean and how I get to vote in supporting people who desperately need …”

The audience clapped so hard that the speech was lost.

Omar attacked her antiwar critics online following the meeting, calling them “dangerous propagandists” who spread Russian “disinformation”.

She stated quote-tweeting Vega, “I’m sorry, but you’re no ‘antiwar protesters.” “You are dangerous propagandists who are literally making a mockery of the antiwar movement.”

She also said, “I am shocked by the nerve of some people not to be upset about the nation literally waging war but at the country defending itself and those supporting it,” in another tweet.

Omar expressed her initial doubts about America’s involvement in the Ukraine-Russian war, despite her support. In February, she voted against an aid package to Ukraine. The U.S. has since sent hundreds of billions to Ukraine.

Omar’s contentious Town Hall marks the second time in recent weeks that a Squad member was challenged about her support of funding the war in Ukraine.
