On Wednesday, Senator JDVance, R-Ohio tried to confront Vice President Kamala Harri over her refusal to answer reporters’ questions, while their planes were both on the tarmac at a Wisconsin Airport.
Vance, the former running mate of President Trump, told a group of journalists at Chippewa Valley Regional Airport he wanted to see Air Force Two better because “it’s going to be my aircraft in a few months.”
The Republican said that he was worried Harris’ press gaggle would “get a little lonely” because Harris does not answer their questions.
“Hey, guys. How are you? Vance asked them as he approached. “I wanted to see my future plane but I also wanted to say hello to Vice President and ask her why she refused to take questions from the press?”
“I also thought the press gaggle that was following her could get lonely,” he said. “I have respect for all of you, for the American people to whom you report, so I came to talk to you, and answer some questions. “I thought that her reporters would also benefit from this.”
Vance called the incident “a bit of fun.”
“I had some fun.” “I don’t believe the vice president waved at me when she drove off, but I’m happy to have done it,” said he. “I’m happy to be in Wisconsin and try to convince people to vote for our side, rather than just give another scripted address.”
Vance referred to the incident when he spoke with employees of Wollard, a manufacturing firm, later in the afternoon.
Vance said to the audience, “We had a great day.” “We just saw the vice president’s plane on the tarmac.” We landed at the same time as her, and I went to see this plane, which will be mine in just a few short months if all goes well, and we should.
“But I also want to say hello to all the journalists traveling with the vice president, as I thought they must be lonely since Kamala Harris won’t answer any questions.”
Ammar Moussa was the director of rapid reaction for the Harris campaign. He called Vance’s behavior “weird”.
“Okay, just to clarify: JD is following Vice President Harris around the country,” Moussa said. He approached her plane because he wanted to talk. Now he is begging for a discussion with her?
“Ummm, this is getting strange,” he said.
