Harris had a successful day on Sunday. She went off script several times after weeks of meticulously planned events. She reminded Americans of why she was once the least popular politician in America.
She gave a word salad on “the duality of democracy,” a topic she has addressed before. She then told a group of high-school football players they could still be undefeated, even if they lost the game.

Doug Emhoff bends down to pick up a bag of chips as the vice president begins to leave. Harris appears to be walking down an aisle but then reappears with Doritos before delivering her lines.
What if I said that the cringe did not stop there? The interaction was filmed multiple times, and she received the Doritos from several people. Tim Walz found the Doritos in a video and gave them back to her.

Tim Walz is seen in the background when Emhoff gives Harris the Doritos. He then pretends to be the simp that gets her the bag. Each side came up with its version of the gag.
Harris and Walz’s presidential campaigns are staged with focus groups. Harris’s Chuck Taylor and “white guys tacos”, as well as the emphasis she places on them, make me think that Harris doesn’t enjoy Doritos.
Harris’ public performances will only make matters worse. With protests going on in full force, the DNC is already a disaster.
