Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., recently spoke with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson. She revealed that she was not a fan of certain GOP colleagues and named specific people she didn’t like. You can’t ignore the fact that MTG is a tough cookie. She is not afraid to speak her mind.
There are many legitimate reasons to slam the Republican Party. I am referring to those members of the notorious establishment. Guys like Mitch McConnell will compromise their principles to advance their political career and maintain their positions but care little for the American people or their rights.
For decades, the establishment has obstructed conservatives in their efforts to restore our Constitution’s liberties and freedoms. After Barack Obama left office, and the left shifted further leftwards, the American public has finally had enough. They voted Donald Trump to the White House. The establishment hated him because he was the opposite of them. He threatened positions of power in the establishment.
Due to Trump’s promises and fulfillment of his word, the American public woke up and realized that their senators and representatives should act in the same way to serve the American people. It’s because of this that people like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene were elected to the House of Representatives.
Since then, the movement against the establishment continues to grow. A movement was born when Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., became House Speaker. He compromised conservative values and a campaign arose against him. We now have someone who is arguably more principled in his seat.
Greene revealed her feelings about her colleagues on Carlson’s new show, X/Twitter. The two had a discussion on a range of topics and issues, including her own. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La) is a favorite of many people, despite the fact that he has a lot of admirers. Greene is disappointed with some of his work so far.
“Let’s not be dishonest, he never planned this, and he was unprepared for it. No base staff was prepared for this. He was literally thrown into a hot pan. The job of speaker of the House of Representatives is among the most difficult in the United States. Greene said to Carson, “It really is.” This is the CEO position for one of the largest companies in the world, or the biggest.
“I was very disappointed that the first thing that our new speaker Mike Johnson did as a conservative was to bring a continuing resolution that funded Joe Biden’s administration. I also was very disappointed in the budget that Nancy Pelosi had created and approved during my first term. “I absolutely hated Nancy Pelosi’s tenure as Speaker of the House. I hated her bills, I hated her budget — it’s full of disgusting, horrible things. “And he passed it clean, just like that.”
Carlson asked Georgia Republican, “How can the government keep running when politicians don’t focus on the major issues such as the national debt or border crisis?” Greene replied that voters should not tolerate this type of nonsense, as one party is trying to destroy the country and all it stands for while the other either helps them or does nothing to stop them. This is why Greene hates some of her Republican colleagues.
Here’s why I dislike Republicans at the moment. Tucker, they don’t stop it. Every single election cycle, they campaign about it. They discuss it. Greene explained. Greene explained: “They post their five-minute committee hearing clips on social media, and then send out red meat fundraising emails. No one does anything to stop this agenda that is literally killing Americans.”
We agree. Not many Republicans walk the talk. It’s time to stop just talking. We need elected officials who follow Donald Trump’s example and actually do what they say. If they fail to deliver, the American people will give them a pink slip. It’s as simple as that.
