Over the weekend, media coverage of the “Twitter Files”, and FBI’s “hackand-leak” reports was delayed. These reports suggest that the FBI helped to censor Hunter Biden’s story about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Rolling Stone contributing editor Matt Taibbi and Twitter CEO Elon Musk described how former Twitter executives deliberately suppressed the New York Post report on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Taibbi reported Viyaja Gadde, former head of legal policy and trust, was responsible for squashing the story without Jack Dorsey’s knowledge.

Both corporate and liberal media have been slow to report on the events leading up to Twitter’s prolonged censorship of The New York Post. After receiving backlash over their lack of coverage, The New York Times published Sunday’s “Elon Musk and Matt Taibbi and a Very Modern Media Maelstrom” which detailed the “Twitter Files”, starting Friday.

Clay Travis, a radio host, and Musk both criticized The Times for failing to cover the story on Saturday. Musk claimed that the newspaper had become “an unregistered lobbying company.”

The Washington Post published their story Saturday, 6:39 p.m. They argued that Twitter is not “bent to will” and that it still has no evidence.

“But, by Saturday’s end, many conservatives grumbled that it was a dud. The piece said that Musk’s Twitter Files did not contain any evidence that the tech giant had complied with the wishes of Democrats. A few screenshots of 2020 were posted in a disjointed thread of 40 tweets that took place over two hours Friday night. They show the San Francisco company discussing a decision to limit sharing of controversial New York Post stories about Joe Biden’s son.

CNN published a Sunday article that detailed emails obtained by Taibbi regarding the possibility of government interference in the censorship and use of Biden’s laptop.

Many media outlets remain silent on Sunday’s New York Post report that the FBI warned Twitter about “hack-and leak operations” by “state agents” regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop. These warnings were reportedly made during weekly meetings before the 2020 presidential election.

Twitter’s former Site Integrity head Yoel Roth signed a declaration stating that the FBI had warned him about “state actors” trying to influence the 2020 elections. Twitter banned Biden’s laptop story from being shared on its platform. This led to the platform locking the Twitter account of Kayleigh McEnany, then White House press secretary, and the Twitter account of the New York Post.

The “hack-and leak” story was published by the New York Post, National Review and Fox News. Liberal and corporate media outlets seem to have not covered the story. Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy reported the latest news on Monday’s Fox & Friends.

CNN and MSNBC spent little time reporting on the news. Instead, they focused on former President Donald Trump’s call to suspend certain parts of the Constitution and the race between Democratic Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock, and his Republican challenger Herschel.

CNN host Jim Scuitto briefly discussed the topic on “CNN Newsroom With Poppy Harlow And Jim Scuitto”, in which they noted that Musk has more unreleased information in the near future.
