Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, and his wife Hillary Vaughn welcomed their first child into the world February 1.

Doocy and Bridget Blake Doocy were married on Thursday. He tweeted that he had asked President Joe Biden for tips about being a father.

“Meet Bridget Blake Doocy!” At the WH holiday reception, @joebiden asked him for advice on being a dad. Doocy replied, “Hold her tight.

Vaughn and Doocy announced their pregnancy during a September Fox & Friends segment, in which Steve Doocy (Fox News anchor) shared recipes from his book. Vaughn shared with the audience that she was “eating to two” and then showed a photo of her ultrasound.

The couple got married in private in South Carolina in 2021.

Karine Jean-Pierre, White House press secretary, joked that Doocy should call his daughter Doocy after her at the White House press briefing on Jan. 3. This suggestion sparked laughter in the briefing room.

“I thought that you were going to ask me for my permission to name your child Karine. Jean-Pierre jokingly said that she thought that was where she was going. She had called Doocy, who has a notoriously antagonistic relationship.

Doocy responded, “Josephina.”

“I know, it’s true. “I think Karine sounds just like it too,” said the press secretary.

He replied, “Okay, we’ll accept it under advisement.”

The Fox News journalist shared a photo to Instagram on Jan. 6 that showed him asking President Joe Biden questions. It also included a joke caption that said, “MISTER PRINCE, WHAT SHOULD OUR DAUGHTER BE NAMED?”

Doocy is just one of a number of Fox News employees who have announced new births or pregnancies. Kayleigh McEnany, former White House press secretary, welcomed her son Nash Gilmartin at the beginning of December. Jesse Watters, “The Five,” co-anchor, announced in December that he was expecting a baby girl with Emma DiGiovine.
