You’re going to need a lot of green stuff this Thanksgiving, and I don’t mean peas and lettuce. Thanks to the turkey in the White House, inflation on traditional Thanksgiving foods is higher than tempers after your uncle from L.A. introduces politics at the dinner table.

Craig Bannister reported on November 15 that “The cost of traditional Thanksgiving food items is rising faster than overall inflation.” The cost of traditional Thanksgiving food items is rising faster than overall inflation, according to a report by Craig Bannister, a reporter for Media Research Center’s CNSNews.

Contrary to what the Biden administration and its media lackeys have claimed, inflation hasn’t slowed. The U.S. Inflation calculator, which uses data from the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index-U, claims that the rate of inflation has slowed. Despite the slower rate of inflation, you are still paying more. Thanksgiving food inflation seems to be unchanged.

According to Bannister of CNSNews, citing BLS stats, the CPI prior to seasonal adjustments has increased by 3.2% since last year. And that’s only the beginning.

These are the products that have seen a price increase exceeding the CPI in the country:

  • Uncooked poultry, including turkey: up 7.2%
  • Sauces, gravies, and other condiments up 7.5%
  • Bread: up 6.3%
  • Crackers and cracker products up to 6.0%

The price increases for Thanksgiving sweets and treats are also higher than inflation.

  • Cookies: up 5.1%
  • Fresh Cakes and Cupcakes: up 4.4%
  • Fresh sweet rolls & coffeecakes: up 5.1%
  • Sugar substitutes and sugar up 8.8%
  • Candy and chewing gum: up 5.9%
  • Turnover of frozen and chilled baked products, pies, and tarts: up 2.7%

The cost of dining out at Thanksgiving will rise by 5.4% compared to last year. That is more than two percentage points above the CPI. Your wallet will suffer no matter what you do during this holiday.

Companies make more money from Thanksgiving through Christmas. When Americans are struggling with their bills this year, it may appear that edible treats and gifts are out of reach. Laundering foreign currency is not how the Bidens make money.

Biden’s un-American policies have rendered bounty a holiday obsolete. Biden’s un-American policies have made bounty an obsolete holiday.
