The Harris campaign continues to be amateurish. The vice president attempted to attack Gov. Joe Biden swooped in to debunk Ron DeSantis’ (R-FL) claim that he ignored federal aid for Hurricane Milton. Harris and her handlers were once again unable to get their ducks lined up before trying to create a story.
Recent visits to a coffee shop in Arizona had similar results. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff visited Otro Cafe to take a photo and demonstrate how they feel about working people. Emhoff was not mentioned for being credibly accused in public of slapping his then-girlfriend. He is still campaigning, and the mainstream media refuses to touch the issue.
The video shows Walz and Emhoff taking their coffees off the counter, only to leave without paying. The daughter of the Minnesota governor is forced to tell the cashier someone else will pay for her coffee later.
Tampon Tim and Doug went to a coffee shop, walked away from the counter without paying, and left Tim’s daughter to inform the cashiers that a handler will be coming to pay with a credit card.

If you don’t know that you must pay for coffee after ordering and receiving it, you are not of the middle class. They are probably used to having their subordinates do that for them.
This is not the most important issue. I’m certain that a handler showed up eventually and paid for the items they stole. This is not the way these photo-ops should go. The whole point of a coffee shop campaign stop was to get the candidate to interact with workers and leave a large tip. The point is not just to smile at the camera, grab a cup of coffee, and walk away.
This episode shows that the Harris campaign is unable to implement even basic strategies. Harris’s recent interview tour where she appeared on podcasts with Alex Cooper and Howard Stern, while also slapping backslaps with the ladies of “The View”, and Stephen Colbert showed a profound lack of planning. Harris wasn’t prepared for basic questions but doing these shows instead of reaching a larger audience was a big mistake.
Harris’ campaign could be in a tizzy, but at the moment it feels as if it is. In the beginning, the strategy was to “do no harm” and keep the vice president in front of the teleprompter at carefully curated public events. Trump’s lead in key swing states has caused this to change as the polls close. Harris is grasping for straws and this could lead to her making several mistakes that will further hinder her quest for the White House.
It’s not good to see Walz and Emhoff campaigning and traveling together. It seems that the idea is to “bro-around” around the country to appeal to men. I can assure the Harris campaign that this is not going to happen. Most men are not interested in the beta-male thing, and neither is the demographic of working-class Democrats who desperately need to win. It would be best to keep Walz and Emhoff hidden in the basement and put the vice president on the teleprompter.
