Charlie Kirk’s UC Davis Speech Interrupted by Antifa Attack

After smashing windows and doors as they tried to storm Charlie Kirk’s speech sponsored by Turning Point USA, violent Antifa protesters were arrested at the University of California Davis campus.

Antifa activists have been targeting Kirk on campus and in the media in the days leading up to the event. The Sacramento Bee, one of the largest newspapers in the state, published a Tuesday piece falsely alleging that Kirk had “called for the murder of trans people” and asking for his speaking engagement to be canceled.

The tweet was posted at 9:02 PM Pacific. It wasn’t deleted until 8 PM. This occurred well after Antifa scum attacked it and 111,000 people had already seen the tweet.

A tweet about Charlie Kirk from the Sacramento Bee, on March 14, 2023, has been deleted.

The Chancellor recorded a video in which he stated that he shared students’ distress over the fact that a student group was bringing a “well-documented proponent of misinformation, hate and has advocated violence against transgender people” to campus. Students were informed that UC policy does not allow an administrator to cancel a speaker who has been invited by a registered campus organization. However, he explained that “UC policy permits denials of speaker requests will present a clear danger to the campus” and that the administration will closely monitor what Kirk says in order to determine if he crosses any lines.

There is no mention of the violence that Antifa could inflict on Turning Point USA speakers. This has been well-documented this year. It’s not an insignificant matter, but it is important to remember that a speaker’s words can be “loathsome” and “hurtful” to a chancellor. Many students will speak out every semester at any decent learning institution.

Kirk responds in the video that he has never advocated violence against trans people. He hopes he will sue the chancellor who should have used his platform to tell those spoiled brats to shut up.

We now know that the speech was not canceled (probably because the University of California system had been sued for canceling speeches by conservative pundits). However, Antifa had already received their marching orders.

This is a breaking news story. We will update it as more information becomes available.
