Carlishia, 35, and her son, 14, went to a popular hot dog and hamburger place in Chicago’s South Side for a late dinner on the evening of Saturday, June 17th.

Hood was attacked by Jerome Brown as she ordered in the restaurant. The video does not show the full content of the argument, but Brown punched Hood several times in the face.

What happened is unclear. Hood’s son was at the front door of the restaurant when Brown started whaling on Hood. The son pulled a legal gun from his hoodie and shot Brown in the back. The original accusation was that Hood texted her son telling him to come into the restaurant. After shooting Brown, the son followed Brown outside, and at his mother’s request, continued firing at Brown, even though Brown was no longer a threat to Hood or her child.

Prosecutors allege Hood also urged her daughter to shoot Brown’s girlfriend who was egging on her boyfriend when he beat on Hood.

Kim Foxx, Cook County’s State Attorney who is backed by Soros, dropped all charges when the viral video was released. The story may have had a racial element because the prosecutor that originally filed murder charges against Hood was white, Assistant State’s Attorney Anne McCord Rodgers. After pressure was applied to Foxx by the black community, the charges against Hood were dropped.

Jeremy Brown has died, and no one will be arrested or tried for his murder. Brown has a history of hitting women, so it’s hard to say that he was a saint.

Did he deserve to die?

Chicago Sun-Times:

The prosecution said that surveillance footage showed Brown repeatedly punching Hood in the head before her son of 14 years entered the restaurant and shot Brown. According to prosecutors, he continued shooting as Brown fled into a parking area while being pursued by both the boy and his mother.

Hood was accused of urging her son to keep shooting Brown and to kill him. She also allegedly told her son to shoot Brown’s girlfriend, who had been egging Brown on during the confrontation.

Hood and her son returned to their home, according to prosecutors.

Should Hood have faced charges? She is suing Chicago, five officers, and the police department for wrongful prosecution. Her son was cleared of all charges for following Brown out of the bar and continuing to shoot, striking Brown with multiple shots.

Hood refused to answer any questions during her press conference to announce her intention to file a lawsuit. She was asked if she had urged her son to shoot at Brown and his girlfriend. There was no explanation as to why the two calmly hopped in their car and drove away without waiting for police.

There is more to this story besides the viral video that Foxx’s office says cleared Hood and her son of murder charges. Will anyone be curious enough to look into it?
